This place really shook up the old Chestnut cafe brigade in Chislehurst which was overpriced and greasy. The decor is open and light with a very welcoming atmosphere. the staff are always super friendly.
The only downside is that they do not alway cooks their roast potatoes fully , but in general the food is excellent. You can get everything from Breakfast to Steak and roast dinners , salads and baked potatoes and the portions are generous.We had a Christmas dinner here and it was lovely with a whole trout on the menu as well as the regular Turkey dinner.
I like the way the seating areas are partly partitioned to give a bit of privacy and everything is kept very clean and tidy. The service is top notch.
Visitors to Chislehurst will have a good view of the famous pond and its wildlife from a window seat.
I believe they can be booked for catering too and also we saw a wedding breakfast there once.The clientelle is mainly early workers and business people and local families.
the childrens menu is good as well and they cater for alterations by my daughter! She recommends the milkshakes.
Alcohol can be served too and proper coffee.
I cannot recommend the Mirage 2 highly enough....we love the place.
