    The Blue Bengal in Carshalton opened during the Summer of 2006. With a beautiful and modern decor, along with exquisitely cooked food, it fast became the favourite Indian restaurant of both my own and my friend whom I have often visited with.
    The menu offers a good variety of authentic Indian cuisine. A little on the pricey side, but not the most expensive place I have visited and certainly to be expected in this particular area. I have visited this restaurant approximately 8 or 9 times over the last 9 months. I recommend this restaurant for the quality of meals offered on the menu.
    However, the menu states that "Our chef will be happy to prepare anything that you do not see on the menu". A very nice comment and was certainly true for our first 5 or 6 visits. But suddenly over our last 3 or 4 visits, a rather ill-mannered and balding (just so you know who he is) waiter has arrived on the scene and has refused to approach the chef with my friends request for a standard 'Garlic Chicken' dish. It had never been a problem in the past. But now suddenly it is? Infact, our recent visits have been tarnished by the attitude of this rude man who simply wished to argue with us, being his customers. So much so that our visits have been tarnished. I must add that it is solely this particular waiter that has pro-actively ruined our special evenings. All the other staff are professional and obliging.
